Vietnamese Linguists Needed for Testing Study

WASHINGTON (NNS) — The Navy announced Monday that Sailors who speak Vietnamese have an opportunity to take part in a standard setting study for the lower range Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in the Washington D.C. area from Sept. 26-29.

The Defense Language Institute (DLI) is inviting 15 linguists who have at least a level 3 in both Vietnamese and English to apply, including native English speakers with high proficiency in Vietnamese, native or heritage speakers of Vietnamese, or native speakers of other languages who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in both English and Vietnamese. DLI will cover TDY expenses for active duty service members that participate.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact Ms. Jungeun Youn at jungeun.youn@dliflc.edu.
