US Army to deploy 130 soldiers to Orlando for FEMA vaccination site

ORLANDO, Fla. —

The Army will deploy approximately 130 soldiers to Orlando to aid in the federal vaccination effort.

Soldiers from the 101st Airborne are expected to deploy Friday.

The soldiers are part of an effort by the Army to support FEMA vaccination centers.

On Wednesday, crews started setting up the FEMA vaccine site coming to Orange County.

The site is located at Valencia College’s west campus off Kirkman Road. It is one of four federally supported mass vaccination sites coming to Florida.

While the site will be located at Valencia College, it will be run by FEMA and the state.
