Md. Marine Killed In Afghanistan

The Department of Defense has announced the death of a Marine from Maryland in Afghanistan.


Lance Corporal Eugene C. Mills III, 21, of Laurel, was killed Friday in Helmand province while conducting combat operations. Mills had been with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, which was based out of Camp Lejeune, N.C.


Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
