LEJEUNE MARINE CASUALTY

The Department of Defense has identifies a Camp Lejeune Marine who was killed in Afghanistan. Lance Cpl. Eugene C. Mills III, 21, of Laurel, Md., died June 22 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
