Elizabeth Richardson-Davis completes Marine Corps basic training

Elizabeth K. Richardson-Davis, of Belvidere, recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C.

Richardson-Davis completed a number of classroom and field assignments, which included first-aid training, Marine Corps values, combat-water survival, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and assorted weapons training.

The basic-training program concluded with a 54-hour team training program known as The Crucible, followed by a Marine Corps emblem ceremony.

Richardson-Davis is the daughter of Marion Richardson, of Belvidere, and Ron Corsello, of Belvidere.
